I was born on a warm winters day, when the sun was at its peak, It was a regular day like any of the other no plain no special. This amazing day was November 17, 1625. I was born in Senegambia and was the tribe leader’s son, so he wanted and envisioned me to become the next tribe leader and take on with his legacy. At a young age a tragedy occurred and I was captured as a slave and taken on a boat to America. As we hit many waves and the ship rocked back and forth I couldn't keep but thinking nonstop about my family and what could have happened to them that I was very nervous, and the ship rocking back and forth wasn't really helping that much. I was sold to a man named Bob Charles for $100 and then I was taken in a truck to a huge plantation. I worked endlessly night and day and my master worked me to the fullest as my master was very brutal. I was never really liked on the farm, and everyone one on the farm was very rude. One day a new slave arrived that slave was my sister; she also had been captured and was sold at the market. Now at least i had someone i knew on the farm and i wouldn't let anything happen to her, I was like her guardian angel, because i had missed her the most and the other slaves on the farm weren't friendly. Sadly i didn't do a very good job, in the year 1640 when I was 15 our master Bob Charles cheated on his wife and had an affair with my sister. A couple of weeks later I was put up for sale and a tall man named Luke Hemington bought me for the price Bob wanted, so I was taken away to a different plantation away from my sister again which was very frustrating. On the other farm owned by Luke I met Marty when my master Luke Hemington bought him, and on the first day he came, I walked up to him and talked to him and we ended up being friends. A year later many rumors were spread about a plantation not so far from ours, where the slaves believed to end slavery like what Marty and I believed. We enforced this rumor and we all protested but when Luke came out with a gun and saw Marty and I he shot Marty in the shoulder and that not only causing him to fall on the ground harshly but also caused acute pains. A man named Abec Johnson tried to help us escape the plantation because he thought slavery was wrong. Abec only helped us since the master was out next to all the other slaves. Sadly we were caught but before we were dragged back to the plantation with Luke's two men, Marty and I saw Abec get shot right in the leg by the master. Around that same time we all met Samantha Johnson and Rosalinda Baker who help give us food because we had a shortage of food. In the year 1663, there was a conspiracy about slaves being released from their slave holders and being sent free, I had told Marty about it and I told him how we should help the slaves escape. It was late, around eleven at night; both of us had a conversation about how we had decided to dedicate our lives to help slaves escape this plantation to start a new fresh chapter in their life. As we tried to escape by crawling through a hole Luke saw us and tried to stop up. Quickly, a dozen of enraged slaves and my friend Marty rushed to keep Luke and his men away from the hole in order for every slave to escape. I got through the hole in a nanosecond and ran for my life. Still looking back I saw that Luke's men had brought whips and started to hit Marty and they rest of the slaves to get out of the way. After we ran away I founded a new community called Greenvile named after me and we lived there for a couple of years. We thought we were safe and Marty told us Luke was still looking for us but we didn't believe he would ever find us, sadly it didn’t end very well.
